Algerian domestic and regional carrier, Tassili Airlines (SF), has reaffirmed its plans to launch regional charter flights, albeit only in early 2014 as opposed to the previously planned deadline of late 2013.

On the occasion of its venture into the scheduled domestic operation scene, Algeria's Tassili Airlines (SF) has announced that its inaugural flight, with accompanying ceremony, will be held on 2 March at Algier's Houari Boumediene International Airport.

► ALGERIA: Tassili Airlines to launch domestic ops from 4 March; outlines intended route network.
As was speculated about last year, Algeria's Tassili Airlines (SF) will, at long last, launch its first scheduled domestic flights to eleven destinations beginning 4 March, in what marks Algeria's first steps towards the deregulation of its airspace.

Air Algèrie (AH) has added 3 new connections to its domestic and regional networks effective 28 October 2012. Among the new routes are Oran - Tunis, Adrar, Algeria - Bordj Mokhtar, Algeria – Tamanrasset, Algeria and Constantine, Algeria – Tamanrasset, Algeria.

► ALGERIA: Air Algérie Boeing 737 lands short of runway at Algiers; no injuries.
An Air Algérie (AH) Boeing 737-800 (MCN: 34164 | 7T-VKA), operating domestic flight AH6231 from Tamanrasset, Algeria to Algiers Houari Boumediene Airport on 18 September 2012, at 03h25 local time, reportedly landed ahead of the runway threshold on the paved surface of the runway end safety area, to the right of the extended runway centreline, thereby taking out a number of runway end and edge lights during the subsequent roll out.
