Mozambique's flag carrier, LAM - Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (TM), will from 28APR13 expand its Johannesburg operations through the addition of 16 weekly flights from Maputo, Beira, Tete and new route, Nampula.

► ZIMBABWE: LAM Mozambique, Air Namibia announce changes to their Harare operations.
Both LAM - Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique (TM), and Air Namibia (SW) have announced changes to their Maputo - Beira - Harare and Windhoek - Harare routes effective 31 March. LAM has now added an extra 3rd weekly service to the Zimbabwean capital, while Air Namibia operations will now route its Harare flights onwards to Lusaka, Zambia also effective 31 March. Days 1 and 5 will route Windhoek - Lusaka - Harare - Windhoek while Days 3 and 7 will route Windhoek - Harare - Lusaka - Windhoek.

► MOZAMBIQUE: Kaya Airlines launches Inhaca Island, Machangulo and Zongoene flights.
According to the Agência de Informação de Moçambique (AIM), Mozambican private carrier Kaya Airlines (IK) has announced the launch of flights to the resorts of Inhaca Island, Machangulo and Zongoene, likely out of its Maputo hub.

■■ MOZAMBIQUE: Search for missing South African pilots to end Friday.
[UPDATED 20 NOVEMBER 2012] The search for two South African pilots who went missing on 27 October as they flew home to South Africa is to be called off Friday.
Bryan Simms, 60, and his son Robert, 22, from Midrand, Johannesburg, were flying
back to Lanseria airport, Johannesburg in a Beechcraft Baron 58 (MSN TH-737 | ZS-JPG). They
had departed Lilongwe, Malawi en route to Lanseria when contact was lost around 45 minutes from Beira airport, Mozambique.

► MOZAMBIQUE: LAM likely to restart Maputo - Harare from October 2012.
Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique, better known as LAM Mozambique Airlines
(TM), is to tentatively re-establish twice weekly flights on Wednesday and Sunday to Harare from Maputo via
Beira using its DHC-8-400, with effect from 27 October 2012, though the reports are unconfirmed as yet.

The airline last served Harare in the early 2000s, but then dropped the service due to the downturn in the Zimbabwean economy.
