Tanzanian operators Auric Air (H8) and Flightlink have announced the launch of two new domestic routes. Auric has started a 4x weekly operation from Dar es Salaam to Njombe via Iringa while Flightlink has begun double daily Dar es Salaam to Mtwara, south-eastern Tanzania flights. Both routes became effective September 16.
According to Auric, Njombe flights operate 4x weekly on Days 1,2,4,6.
Flightlink states its Mtwara flight will operate on Days 1,2,3,4,5 initially onboard a Beechcraft 1900D though this will be upgraded to an Embraer 120ER aircraft once demand picks up.
Both Auric and Flightlink offer extensive coverage of Tanzanian catering primarily to the tourist sectors as well as the growing local corporate sectors.
