Ethiopian Airlines (ET) is set to commence flights to the Nigerien capital, Niamey, on-board a B757-200 with effect from November 20. AirlineRoute writes that the 4x weekly service will operate onwards to the capital of Burkina Faso, Ouagadougou.
The announcement follows the signing of a renewed bilateral air services agreement last year between the two countries, replacing an outdated version from 1981.

According to the Director General of Niger's civil aviation authority, (l’Agence Nigérienne de la Navigation Aérienne Civile - ANAC), Mr Seydou Yayé Amadou, the route will build stronger bilateral relations between Niger and Ethiopia as well as foster greater regional integration.
