Romanian MRO outfit, Aerostar S.A., has won a contract from Starbow Airlines (S9) of Ghana to carry out ‘C’
checks on its fleet of four BAe 146 regional jetliners.
The first aircraft, a BAe 146-300 (MSN E3123 | 9G-SBB), arrived at
Aerostar’s Bacau facility on May 31 and departed on schedule on 2 July.
The remaining Starbow aircraft will ferry to Bacau during the course of
this year, with the second aircraft, a BAe 146-200 (MSN 2059 | 9G-SBD),
having arrived at Aerostar on 3 July.
Starbow started domestic operations in Ghana in September 2011 with its
maiden flight to Kumasi from the capital Accra. Starbow’s patronage has
increased overwhelmingly since it commenced operations with its BAe
146s and it now links the domestic centres of Kumasi, Tamale and
Takoradi to Accra.
