Burkinabe
carrier, Colombe Airlines, has been selected by the government to
operate the country's Hajj & Umrah flights. In a recent
announcement, Ethiopian Airlines (ET) was also appointed an official
operator for the pilgrimage. |

Not
much is known about Colombe (Dove) Airlines save that it was launched
in June of 2012 with financing coming via its parent, Arpari Cavo Ltd.
It's purported long term plans include servicing "all major African cities" with international flights also on the cards.
Established
in Burkina Faso as a group of seven companies whose interests include
mining, aviation and construction, Arpari Cavoalso operates in the gold
export market with its UAE-subsidiary, Arpari Cavo FZE, registered at
Sharjah's Airport Free zone.
