SAA Cargo, the cargo division of South African Airways (SA), are set to retire the last of their B737-200Fs, (MSN 22583 | ZS-SID), from revenue service with effect from June 25, it has emerged.

According to ch-aviation, SAA Cargo General Manager, Mr Tleli Makhetha, said the gradual phasing out of the type began in December last year with (MSN 22585 | ZS-SIF) being replaced with a B737-400F, (MSN 24128 | S5-ABV), wet-leased from Solinair (SOP).
SAA Cargo also operates two B737-300Fs on flights that incorporate South Africa as well as the sub region.
