Equato-guinean carrier Punto Azul (ZR) has begun regional operations following the arrival of one of its three Embraer ERJ145s in São Tomé from Malabo on Tuesday.

According to macauhub, Américo Cabral, who represents the airline in Sao Tome, said that Punto Azul’s flights would offer a three times weekly ERJ145 frequency operating on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays.
Cabral also said that services for the new route would be provided by Island Tour – Travel Logistic, GSA, a travel and tourism agency operating in São Tomé & Príncipe.

Punto Azul also has plans to offer flights to Mongomeyen and Libreville, in the first phase, while in the second, new routes to Cameroon, Ghana, Nigeria and Angola are planned.
