Air Zimbabwe has signed a contract with AFI KLM E&M covering component support for its two A320s covering pool access and per-flight-hour repairs, together with the provision of a Main Base Kit, to be initially positioned at Johannesburg, before moving to Harare International Airport. In parallel with this contract, Air Zimbabwe has decided to entrust the maintenance and repair of the CFM56-5A and -5B engines powering the two A320s to AFI KLM E&M.

The successful tender for these contracts is the outcome of a technical and commercial partnership between AFI KLM E&M and South African Airways (SAA) Technical.

Regarding its Egyptair contract, represented by EgyptAir Maintenance and Engineering, a 9 year old contract has now been renewed covering existing component support while now including provision for the carrier’s A320s, A330s and Boeing 777 fleets.
