The aircraft, (MSNs 25317, 26525, 26527, 27679 and 27680), were the last five remaining B737-500s in the RAM fleet being re-marketed by Airstream. The sales form part of the Moroccan carrier's fleet renewal programme which involves the phasing out of the B737 classic, replacing them with modern Next Generation aircraft.
Three of RAM's B737-400s (MSNs 26526, 26529 and 26530) have been sold onto Brazil's Colt Aviation where they will be converted into freighters.
Airstream provides aircraft sales, leasing and financing services to aircraft operators and owners worldwide. The company has completed transactions involving more than five hundred aircraft in almost twenty five years of successful trading.
