Brussels Airlines A330 OO-SFY (jenscrabbe) |
It is said that OO-SFY was 20 minutes into its climb out of Entebbe "when the right hand engine (PW4168) emitted a series of bangs and streaks of flames (usually indicative of engine compressor stalls or surges) prompting the crew to shut the engine down and return to Entebbe for a safe landing about 40 minutes after departure."
As of yesterday, Thursday 16 May, the aircraft is still in Uganda awaiting a replacement engine.
