■ BOTSWANA: Qatar, Botswana ink a Bilateral Air Services Agreement.

The respective civil aviation authorities of Qatar and Botswana have concluded a Bilateral Air Services Agreement following a signing ceremony held in Doha recently. The ratification of the BASA comes after the deal was originally initialled by both states back in 2007.
 
The agreement was signed by Mr Abdulaziz Al Nuaimi, the chairman of the Qatar Civil Aviation Authority (QCAA), and Mr. Nonofo Molefhi, Minister of Transport and Communication in Botswana.

Under the terms of the agreement, Air Botswana (BP) and Qatar Airways (and its respective Cargo subsidiary) are permitted to operate any number of passenger and cargo flights between the two countries, in addition to intermediate and beyond points.
