The Nigerian Government has appointed the Director of Aerodrome Services, Joyce Nkemakolam, as the acting Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority, NCAA.
Nkemakonam is the most senior member of Aerodrome Services board and was appointed following the sacking of Dr Harold Demuren on Tuesday night.
Despite a negative government inquest into his conduct, Demuren's dismissal has been greeted with some consternation amongst stakeholders in the Nigerian aviation market, who claim the justification used to fire him, were "flimsy".
