According to Aero's Managing Director, Obaro Ibru, the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has commenced its reverification-audit of the airline's aircraft.
"Once NCAA is satisfied, we fly. The verification audit is on-going and it is to be concluded this week," Mr. Ibru said.

The airline added that a court ruling regarding over 600 employees that had been fired after the on set of industrial action, had ruled in Aero's favour i.e workers who had been fired, remain fired.

No mention, however, has been made as to whether or not a compromise has been found with the worker's committee, whose grievances pertained to unpaid salaries, poor conditions of service, a plan to outsource employees, as well as the appointment of a controversial new human resources manager.

The strike has seen numerous incidents of disgruntled Aero employees blockading the company's headquarters at Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport.
