► TUNISIA: Tunisair A320 suffers nose gear collapse after landing at Carthage International ; no casualties.

TunisairA Tunisair (TU) Airbus A320 (MSN 119 | TS-IMB) operating as flight TU712 from Casablanca to Tunis, yesterday suffered a runway excursion after landing at Tunis - Carthage International Airport's runway 09. 


After the incident, which occurred at 14h20, the aircraft has found to have a collapsed nose gear in addition to what The Aviation Herald described as "substantial damage."


According to a press release by the Tunisian national carrier, the aircraft was landing at a time when "strong gusts of wind were recorded."

The 75 passengers and 8 crew members were all safely evacuated and immediately given assistance.

An investigation will be conducted by the Tunisian Ministry of Transport "to determine the circumstances of the incident."
