VistaJetVistajet, the Swiss company luxury jet company specializing in short term leasing, has taken its Bombardier Global 6000 jet on a global roadshow with Africa being the first leg. Thus far, Kumasi, Accra, Abuja, Lagos, Kinshasa, Lubumbashi, Luanda, Johannesburg, Cape Town have been visited with Maputo, Kampala, Nairobi, Dar es Salaam still left.


In November 2012 Vistajet placed a firm order for 56 new Bombardier Global Express Private Jets (25 Global 5000, 25 Global 6000 and 6 Global 8000 aircraft) with options for a further 86 aircraft. With a list price value of more than USD7.8billion, this is the single largest transaction placed with any aircraft manufacturer in the history of business aviation with deliveries set to commence in 2014.

In March 2012, VistaJet said it was hoping to establish point-to-point services within Africa and abroad within 12 months through commercial agreements with established local operators. Point-to-point charter services mentioned were between city pairs such as London and Luanda, Angola, and Kinshasa, Congo, and Ulan Bator, Mongolia.
