Karinou Airlines logoCentrafricair o/a Karinou Airlines (KRN), a private carrier based out of the Central African Republic, is to boost its fleet with the arrival of a Boeing 737-300 due in April which will join its current lone Boeing 737-200ADV (MSN 23109 | TL-AEG) formerly with Lebanon's Med Airways.

CongoAirline Blog reports the disclosure was made by Karinou Director General, Trad Said, during a press conference at Kinshasa's N'djili International Airport to mark the inaugural of Karinou's Bangui - Douala - Pointe Noire - Kinshasa route on 12 February.

The beginning of flights to Kinshasa had been delayed for some months owing to the finalization of a renewed Bilateral Air Services Agreement (BASA) between The Central African Republic and The Democratic Republic of Congo that was eventually signed in December of last year, replacing one signed in 1982.
