Daallo Airlines (D3), the Dubai-based national carrier of Djibouti, are to add another route to their network with the launch of Burao - Berbera - Dubai. Burao and Berbera are cities in Somaliland, an unrecognised self-declared sovereign state that is internationally recognised as an autonomous region of Somalia. |

The flights from Dubai to Burao via Berbera will operate every Monday and Thursday with the return flight operating every Sunday and Wednesday. The flights however, do not yet show up for reservation on Daallo's site.
Starting 20 November 2012, Daallo launched weekly Tuesday flights to Nairobi, Kenya from Djibouti, Berbera, and Mogadishu with the return flight ex-Nairobi to Djibouti, Berbera and Mogadishu operating every Wednesday.

Daallo Airlines was established in 1991, and began operations on 20 March 1991 with one Cessna aircraft. In 2008, it entered into a strategic partnership with
Istithmar World Aviation Holdings, the investment arm of Dubai World, and the Government of Djibouti to enhance and promote air transportation
services in Africa.
The new partnership focuses on developing Daallo's
current routes and networks, expanding to new markets in Africa with the
ultimate aim of becoming a premier carrier in Africa with special
focus on the Horn of Africa and the COMESA (Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa) region.
