► KENYA: Bluebird Aviation Q400 rejects takeoff at high speed, closing Wilson Airport Runway 14/32 for 3 hours.

Bluebird AviationThe Aviation Herald is reporting that a Bombardier Q400 (MSN 4009 | 5Y-VVY) belonging to Kenyan cargo carrier Bluebird Aviation (BBZ) went off Nairobi Wilson Airport's runway 14/32 following a rejected take off yesterday.

The report states that 5Y-VVY was heading to an as yet unknown destination, at about 07h05L, when during it rejected take off at high speed before coming to a stop off the runway. No immediate damage assessment was possible.

The runway was closed for "about 3 hours" until the aircraft could be moved off. Flights were subsequently transferred to runway 07/25.
