Amidst a turbulent political climate, Karinou Airlines (KRN), formerly Africa Airlines, has outlined plans to launch scheduled regional operations out of Bangui, capital of the Central African Republic, possibly in early January. |

Having previously plied domestic charter routes, the Lebanese-owned carrier is said to have a capital base of USD100million (XAF50billion) which it will use in the launch of the following routes:
- Bangui - Ndjamena - Douala - Cotonou,
- Bangui - Douala - Pointe Noire - Kinshasa,
- Bangui - Kinshasa - Douala - Cotonou,
- Bangui - Ndjamena - Yaounde - Malabo.
