This is BA Comair's second foray into the Johannesburg - Maputo market. Its previous Johannesburg (Lanseria) - Maputo route, operated in conjunction with Solenta Aviation, was pulled in Q4 of 2011 owing to "rampant fuel prices" in addition to the market being "unable to support fares that are high enough to keep the route profitable."
