US based aircraft lessor specialists, the International Lease Finance Corporation (ILFC), yesterday announced the signing of a deal with Ethiopian Airlines (ET), for the lease of three Boeing 787-8 aircraft, of which Ethiopian currently has three (with a further seven due for delivery).

The aircraft are scheduled for delivery in the first half of 2015 and will carry GEnx-1B70/75 engines.

Ethiopian are due to receive their next, and their own, Boeing 787-8 (MSN 34744 | ET-AOP) in the next few weeks, bringing their fleet of Dreamliners to four.
