► SOUTH AFRICA: Air Zimbabwe unveils Johannesburg timetable; to charge USD420 return.

Air Zimbabwe (UM) have unveiled their proposed timetable for Harare - Johannesburg (ORTIA), South Africa flights set to begin 12 November 2012. The 4x weekly flights will initially be operated with a Boeing 767-200ER, before switching to an Airbus A320.

If the updated timetable is anything to go by, this will effectively mean that UM's 767/A320 will be sitting on the ground in Johannesburg for close to 12 hours. See the old timetable for comparison.

A cash cow route in the past, Air Zimbabwe will be charging USD420 return (incl) - comparable to South African Airways' fare of USD416 and well below British Airways (Comair)'s fare of USD492.
