Air Libya (7Q), the private Libyan carrier formerly known as Tibesti Air Libya, has announced the lease of 2 Boeing B737-400 for use on its daily Benghazi - Alexandria, Egypt flights.

According to Air Libya's website, the two B737-400 (MSN: 25112 | TC-TLC) and (?) have been leased from Turkey's Tailwind Airlines to start operations today, 15 November 2012. Swiss aviation website CH-Aviation reports that Air Libya will also take delivery of its first ARJ-100 (MSN 3234 | 5A-FLB) that is currently being prepared for the carrier at Bournemouth Airport in the United Kingdom.
Based out of Benghazi, Air Libya operates a lone BAe 146-300 (MSN 3191 | 5A-DKQ) to Kufrah, Mitiga and Sebha in Libya as well as international flights to Alexandria, Cairo, Tunis, El Fasher, Khartoum and Istanbul.
