“As US Investors, we are excited to invest in the East African market and we are here because we realize the potential in this country and the surrounding EAC region,” he said.

Earlier this year, whilst on tour in Atlanta, USA, Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga gave a presentation on Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport where he discussed JKIA and the improvements being made to airport security and handling there in order to make direct flights between Kenya and the US (Delta Airlines have expressed interest in starting Atlanta - Dakar - Nairobi), a reality.

With their African route network primarily focusing on western and southern Africa: namely Accra (Ghana), Lagos (Nigeria), Dakar (Senegal), Johannesburg (South Africa), and Monrovia (Liberia), no immediate mention was made about any new routes to East Africa however.
