► UNITED ARAB EMIRATES: Emirates announces various equipment changes to Accra & Abidjan, Lagos, Entebbe and Nairobi effective 2013.

Dubai based carrier, Emirates (EK), has announced various changes to some its African destinations, effective from between January and February of next year.

Emirates: Dubai – Accra, Ghana - Abidjan, Cote d'Ivoire

• Effective 1 January 2013, 3-class Boeing 777-300ER (no First Class suite) replaces Airbus A340-500.

Dubai – Lagos, Nigeria

• Effective 1 February 2013, EK783/784 operated by 3-class Boeing 777-300ER with First Class Suite, replacing non-Suite aircraft.

Dubai – Entebbe, Uganda

• Effective 1 January 2013, Airbus A340-500 replaces A330-200 on daily basis.

Dubai – Nairobi, Kenya

• Effective 1 February 2013, EK719/720 operated by Airbus A340-500, replaces -300
