► SOUTH AFRICA: Qantas drops First Class from Johannesburg flights effective October.

Australian carrier, Qantas (QF), will from 1 October 2012 no longer offer First Class on its daily Boeing 747-400 flights between Sydney, Australia and Johannesburg, South Africa, with the last flight to have the service to operate on 30 September 2012.

-Effective 1 October, First Class will no longer be offered.

The loss of First Class will however increase overall capacity on the reconfigured aircraft by 14 seats in both Business and Economy classes - 56 J (Business Class Premium), 40 W (Premium Economy) and 275 (Y) Economy class.
