►► RWANDA: RwandAir announces network changes in preparation for its first Bombardier CRJ-900NG.

Rwandan national carrier Rwandair (WB) has announced various changes to its Nigeria and its previously announced East African route timetables, as it prepares for the arrival of its first Bombardier Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ) 900NG (MSN# 15286 | 9XR-WH) due, according to informed sources, on 22 October 2012.

Amongst the various changes made are: Lagos, Nigeria will only see a 5x weekly service as opposed to a daily flight as initially announced, Nairobi is to see a 3x daily service up from 2x daily, Entebbe will also increase to a 3x daily service albeit using a mix of B737-500s and CRJ-900s, Kilimanjaro and Mwanza all in Tanzania will be served 4x weekly non stop, while Bujumbura will drop to 13x weekly as opposed to the previously announced 14x weekly service.
