►► EQUATORIAL GUINEA: Air Annobón gets first BAe146 (Pic); to start operations soon.

EQUATORIAL GUINEA flagEquatoguinean start-up, Air Annobón, has received the first of two BAe146-300s from South African wet-leasors Fair Aviation, to be used on domestic routes. BAe 146 'ZS-SOR' is to be based on the island of Annobon, Equatorial Guinea, though what future plans the airline has, are as yet, unclear.

Fair Aviation has being doing good business in West Africa of late, with aircraft being leased to Ghana's Starbow Airlines and also to Air Annobón's competitor, Cronos Airlines.

[UPDATE 23 OCTOBER] Air Annobòn is now set to receive its second BAe146-300 (MCN E3120 | ZS-SBR) from Fair Aviation:
