Founded in 1994 by the El-Hage family as a domestic airline with flights from Pointe-Noire, Brazzaville, Dolisie and Infondo, it has since developed a respectable regional network whose destinations now include Douala (Cameroon), Cotonou (Benin), Libreville (Gabon) and Johannesburg (South Africa).

After the fiery crash of one of its Antonov AN-12 cargo planes in Mvoumvou, Pointe Noire in 2011, the airline has sought to reinvent itself, starting with the acquisition of new aircraft, and culminating in the new livery.

It has future plans of expanding to Bamako (Mali), Abidjan (Ivory Coast) and Bangui (Central African Republic) using a fleet of three Boeing 737-200s, a Boeing 737-300, and two Embraer 120s.
