►► NETHERLANDS: KLM announces changes to Accra, Cairo, Cape Town, Dar es Salaam, Kilimanjaro, Johannesburg and Lagos from Winter 2012.

[UPDATE 7 FEBRUARY] Further to KLM's (KL) previously announced Summer Timetable changes, so they have announced equipment i.e aircraft changes to their Winter 2012 timetable.

Amsterdam – Accra, Ghana
  • Airbus A330-300 operates on daily basis (Previous plan was A330-200 to operate on Day 1, replace -300)
Amsterdam – Cairo, Egypt
  • Winter service reduces from daily to 4 weekly, 777-200ER operating 
  • Summer 2013 season operates 5 times a week with Boeing 777-200ER (4 weekly in S12)
Amsterdam – Cape Town, South Africa
  • Boeing 777-200ER operates daily. Previously planned 777-200ER/-300ER operation cancelled.
  • Effective 1 May 2013 - Northern Summer season operates 4x weekly with 777-200ER, reduced from 5x weekly in NW12
          - KL597 AMS1005 – 2135CPT 772 x246
          - KL598 CPT2335 – 1100+1AMS 772 x246

Amsterdam – Dar es Salaam, Tanzania – Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
  • Daily service operates with Airbus A330-300, replacing planned Boeing 777-200ER/-300ER 
Amsterdam – Johannesburg, South Africa
Amsterdam – Lagos, Nigeria
  • Airbus A330-300 to continue operation 5x a week. Remaining 2x weekly operates with -200 (Previous plan was daily A330-200)

KLM: Amsterdam – Kilimanjaro – Dar es Salaam – Amsterdam
  • 02JUN13 – 31AUG13 - Boeing 777-200ER replaces A330-200 (Previous Plan sees 777 operating until 14SEP13)
